Arctic Ocean Expedition, 2007

Status: Coming soon to OverlandVideo.com

In March 2007, adventure driver Scott Brady and his team of navigator and co-driver Chris Marzonie and Overland Video Director, Pasquale Benedetto traveled 9,000 miles from Arizona to the frozen Arctic Ocean. The video documents the expedition from the pre-trip preparations all the way to their furthest point north, the village of Tuktoyaktuk on the edge of the frozen Beaufort Sea. Highlights include 4-wheeling with American Expedition Vehicles, ice climbing, dog-sledding, getting to know the locals, and the first video-documented winter navigation of the Peel River from Aklavik to Fort MacPherson in a 4WD (120 miles of adventure driving on a frozen river). Desert Riders

Status: In stock

In the words of Chris Scott: "Twenty two years after my first two-wheel venture into the Sahara, I cooked up the Desert Riders Project, a hardcore expedition to explore the limits of motorcycling in the Sahara. Vital fuel and food drops were buried months in advance and, with Jon Escombe and Andy Bell who'd come on my previous desert biking tours, the three Desert Riders set off on a radical 6000-kilometre adventure to the desolate heart of the Sahara.

Not for the first time we soon found ourselves up against it; on one day we covered just 4km. But a few days later, out on the plains along the Niger borderlands we located the primary fuel cache buried in the dunes and by traversing the covert trails of les contrabandiers, we made an illicit excursion to Niger's Ténéré Desert's and the famous Lost Tree. Then, heading west towards the barren lava fields of the Hoggar Mountains the Project began to unravel..."

Filmed in broadcast-quality digital video, this 2005 version includes 23 minutes of additional material, including the TV version of Desert Riders as seen on National Geographic Channel, Call of the Wild (6 min TV version) and a preview of the 2005 release, Gorge Riders. VIEW TRAILER

Gorge Riders: Bush Bashing and Canyoneering with BMW Twins

Status: Limited stock

In between updating the AM Handbook, Chris Scott covers the remoter corners of Australia for Rough Guides - and the gorges of the Hamersley Ranges in northwestern Australia are the setting for his latest film. Staying behind the camera this time, Chris follows Jeff aboard his ratty ex-African HPN Boxer, and Bob and Danielle - halfway through an RTW honeymoon on their fully-kitted R1150GS.

When flooded tracks nearly drown the 1150, Bob and Jeff continue on the HPN. Then that too is left behind as the duo undertake a thrilling and irreversible
descent into the freezing gorges of Karajini where Jeff and Bob find themselves inside a rarely seen wonderland of shoulder-wide chasms, hidden waterfalls and flooded canyons bounded by towering red cliffs. VIEW TRAILER
